Featured on this episode of the Certified Podcast is a woman of many titles… Owner of KimConnects.com, Co-Host of the Game on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, TX, but the most important title she holds is wife and mother. Kimberly Alexander is the wife of late NFL player, Elijah Alexander who unfortunately passed away in March of 2010 of Multiple Myeloma cancer and the complications from that deadly disease. Ever since then, this amazing woman has picked up the fight and continued to raise awareness, do events, charities and just overall do anything in her power to hopefully bring an end to this terrible cancer and other blood based cancers as well.
We talk about the continued legacy her husband left behind and the strength he gives her in her fight against Myeloma, her show on the Fan and her two thriving sons, one is a DJ, the other a prospect in the New York Yankees farm system. We talk about how she had to be strong for her sons’ sake after the passing of their father and her passion for living life to the fullest.
I’ve been blessed to know Kimberly a few years and I’m excited to bring this interview to you and hopefully together we can help bring awareness and maybe one day end cancer for good! Also, side note… excuse my voice on this episode. Been a little bit under the weather for a few days, but as they say… The show must go on!
The event we were referring to during the episode that she attended on Tuesday night:
Clarence Hill Man of the Year campaign page for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
You can connect with Kimberly on her site:
